In the tale of the Forest of Twilight, Nar Var Din felt Dareus’ presence while traveling through the woods. At one point, Dareus bit him near a cave that appeared to be a shortcut. The bite left a scar that stayed with him for the rest of his life. On another occasion in the forest, Nar Var Din encountered Dareus again, this time from a distance and in a calm manner. During a ceremony where Nar Var Din presented a necklace to honor his father, Dareus appeared. He approached, bowed, and licked the wound he had previously inflicted, healing it. That night, Dareus howled into the skies and disappeared, running into the forest. For Nar Var Din, this was a deeply emotional moment of reconciliation and healing.
At another point, Nar Var Din had to fight Dareus to gain access to Oasa, a sacred place. This battle forced him to learn to sense and harmonize with the elements of nature. It became a pivotal lesson in trusting intuition and embracing unity with the world around him.
